1. What We Collect
When you create a Folyo account we collect your email address and, optionally, your display name, username, avatar image, bio, and cover image. We also store the widget content you create (links, text, images, social profiles, embedded media) and your layout/theme preferences.
If you connect a GitHub account, we fetch your public profile and repository metadata to power the GitHub widget. We do not access private repositories.
2. Analytics & Cookies
We use Vercel Web Analytics to measure aggregate page views. This service is privacy-focused and does not use cookies or track individual users across sites.
Folyo collects basic page-view analytics for your public profile (view count, referrer, country) so you can understand how visitors find your page. These events are anonymized and cannot be linked back to individual visitors.
We use Sentry for error monitoring. Sentry may collect technical data such as browser type, operating system, and stack traces when errors occur. This data is used solely for debugging and is not shared with third parties.
Authentication is handled by Supabase Auth, which sets a session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
3. How We Use Your Data
- Display your public profile page at your chosen username
- Render your widgets and layout preferences
- Provide you with profile analytics (views, clicks)
- Authenticate your sessions
- Debug errors and improve the service
- Send transactional emails (account verification, password reset)
We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
4. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored in Supabase (Postgres database with Row Level Security) and Supabase Storage for uploaded images. The application is hosted on Vercel. All data is transmitted over HTTPS.
5. Third-Party Embeds
Widgets may embed content from third-party services (YouTube, Spotify, GitHub). When visitors view your public profile, these embeds are loaded directly from their respective providers and are subject to those providers' own privacy policies. YouTube embeds use privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com).
6. Your Rights
You can update or delete your profile data at any time from your dashboard settings. If you delete your account, all associated data (profile, widgets, uploaded images, analytics events) will be permanently removed.

7. Changes
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be communicated via the email associated with your account.
